Group Works! A training workshop with Erena Bramos

This training weekend is designed specifically for therapists who are interested in deepening their understanding of what makes Group the magnificent healing modality it is meant to be.

With an exploration based on the foundational tenets of Systems Theory, participants will have the  opportunity to look at working with a group as a unique endeavor which, in order to deliver the rich experience a group invites its members to, must be based on understanding  the group as a “living energy system” ; an entity which is more and different than the sum of its parts: a system with definite structure, goals, boundaries, and self-correcting capacities.

Participants will be invited to, conceptually and experientially, understand and become comfortable allowing the power of the group to aid in the process of transformation.

Furthermore, this training will explore issues such as:

• The group as a living entity with its unique expression of mask, lower self, and higher self as well as Emotional Intelligence which the leader needs to invoke to help the group become cohesive and take responsibility for the needs of the members
• Supporting the group to become its own leader
• Helping group clients to become group members
• Understanding the power of addressing sub-grouping in the group as well as role “assignment” as ways in which the group can either hinder or facilitate individual growth

In addition, participants will address such issues as:

• Group as a tool which can help the client explore misconceptions and risk taking back projections —Ego strength as an indicator of the appropriateness of inviting the worker to group.
• Handling of Transference in Groups
• Grappling with counter-transference as it is evoked by the group.
• Images around group leading which disempower the facilitator

Erena Bramos, out of her training in System-Centered Group Therapy, and her long-term experience in leading groups of all kinds, as well as in teaching about Group work, is excited to be offering a challenging and exciting invitation to any therapist who ever wanted to be part of creating magic in a group. Erena is a psychotherapist in private practice and has been working with individuals, couples, and groups for over thirty years. Formerly on the faculty of the Institute of Core Energetics in New York. She has founded and is Director of the Institute of Core Energetics-Greece and also teaches in New York, and many Core Institutes in Europe and the Americas

TUITION: 450 Euros ( Early Bird Registration 395 Euros. Please register and pay fee by 15/4/2022)

Double occupancy: 180 Euros

Triple occupancy: 165 Euros

*Payments are made directly to the hotel.
