MASTERCLASS : At home within as a therapist. with Erena Bramos

Beyond using theory and therapeutic techniques, devising therapeutic plans, and engaging in diagnostic understandings, the foundation of good therapy is in your commitment as therapist to stay present and conscious with your client….to meet your client and receive him/her in the reality of their being. 

Your clients are guests within the sacred space we call the therapeutic journey. And to receive a guest we have to be “at home” … at home, not trying to fix or change them, just inviting them to the spacious intimacy which can only be created by unconditional presence.

This journey will invite you to explore the beliefs and attitudes about what your work has to offer, and the best way for you to serve it. It will help you to sort out and let go of the images about the purpose of this journey and your role in it…all that interferes in the way of allowing this evolutionary process we call “Core Work” to take yourself and your clients to the deepest awareness of all that is possible. It will help you to trust that the best you can offer, is to be present with the experience as it is.

DURATION. - This program is offered in two modules of 3 1/2 days each (28 hrs. of theoretical and practical work per module). The modules begin on Thursday morning (10:00 hrs.) and end on Sunday at noon (14:00 hrs.). Participants will be required to commit to both modules. **

MODULE I: “BEING” THERAPIST; RECEIVING THE CLIENT IN PRESENT TIME

February 15th – 18th2024

· Images around being a therapist.

· Working with what is present…not towards a goal.

· Opening to pure presence/pure listening.

· Helping clients to meet all experience with acceptance and kindness.

· Being present without demands for self or client.

· Trusting guidance... What is true guidance and how we find the line between “following” the energy and developing a therapeutic plan.

· Meeting the client in the transference/ using the relationship with the client to begin inquiry.

· Helping client realize they are not their “story.”

· Helping self and client detaching from story

· Observing tendency to see client from conditioned mind.

· Working with the conditioned mind to allow the experience of unconditioned mind.

· Addressing the source of illusion.

· Practices that allow for this shift in self and client.

MODULE II: FROM WORKING THROUGH FEELINGS TO LETTING GO OF THE CONDITIONED MIND; TRUSTING INQUIRY…AND BEYOND

March 28th – 31st 2024

· Observing tendency to see client from conditioned mind.

· Working with the conditioned mind to allow the experience of unconditioned mind.

· Addressing the source of illusion.

· Practices that allow for this shift in self and client.

· Releasing feelings…the means to opening the breath, not the ultimate goal.

· Inquiry vs. Meditative practice.

· Inquiry vs. Diagnosis and other mind explorations.

· Deconstructive exploration as an important tool in therapy.

· Enhancing your creativity by quieting the critical mind…practices.

Erena is Educational Director and Co-Founder of Core Energetics Greece and formerly Director of Education at the New York Institute for Core Energetics. She has been psychotherapist in private practice for over thirty years.  Interested in the exploration of Non-Dual Consciousness in the realm of psychotherapy, she teaches therapists at the Institute for Transformational training in New York, which she has founded and directs. She also teaches at Core Brasilia, in Brazil, and the Core Institutes in Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, and Italy

These classes, if attended in their totality, they will constitute the requirements of a fifth/graduate year. This is determined by the international association of core energetics to be a prerequisite for moving on to being eligible to assist, and eventually teach, in any of the core energetics institutes worldwide.
