About the Event
We invite you to the online webinar "The Vagus Nerve, the Polyvagal Theory and it’s implication in Core Energetic Work” given by Daniela Zambrana.
In this exciting lecture, using the groundbreaking Polyvagal Theory, you will learn how our nervous system works and how our vagus nerve (also called the relaxation nerve) influences our mental, emotional and physical well-being. Among other things, it affects bodily functions such as breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, kidney function and digestion.
Since our work is aimed to create safety so that the client can open up to dive deeper in his/her process, understanding the neurobiology of our Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and creating safety is fundamental to support our clients (and ourselves) in the therapeutical journey.
Amongst others we will explore the concepts of:Neuroception
-Different physiological and psychological States of the Autonomic Nervous System
- Co-Regulation
- Polyvagal ladder
Additionally you will learn several specific exercises that can help yourself and your client to activate the social engagement system and thereby find more alignment, trust and safety between the therapist and the client.
The duration of the webinar is 3 hours. It will take place on Saturday, 12th March at 10 am Greek time /9:00 am EST in English.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you decide to attend the lecture, please watch this 1 hour presentation on the basic principles of the polyvagal theory, so we can dive deeper during the webinar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnZygGZO3JE
